I bought this for a friend. He had been told by friends of his that an HDMI cable was a waste of money. I told him ‘they’ wasted their money by not getting a decent cable. I told him that Monster Cable was the best out there. He said he couldn’t afford the prices all the box stores were charging. I told him I’d find him one. Now, every time I see him he has gone on about how much better everything is, picture quality, sound, deepness of the blacks…He is a happy man!

Don’t believe the hype that cheap cables are just as good. The people that sell the cheap stuff are the only ones saying that the cables are all the same. What Monster provides is documented evidence and clinical trials that show why higher quality cables are needed. Just because a cable looks the same out the outside doesn’t mean it works the same on the inside, just like robots.
I did a test between this cable and a cheap-o cable on my 150″ screen. I have an HD projector with a blu-ray machine hooked up so I’m getting the highest consumer grade video quality available. The quality may look fine on a tiny screen but so does VHS compared to DVD. Use a bigger screen and you can easily see the difference, once again the difference is as easy to see as VHS compared to DVD.
You spent thousands of dollars for a good tv and not a cheap brand where they claim does the same thing but actually doesn’t. Do you want to fall into the same trap with your cables?

What a difference does this product make. It is simply unbelievable. The clarity of the picture, sound it simply blows you away, including the non HD channels. Definitely a must! Especially, when you purchase a HDTV and have a Blu-Ray player.

Ok,I have used this cable my self and just bought another cable from a seller here on amazon for 23.00 usd.at 23 dollars people would be fools not to buy.look under used cables they are actually new.but amazon will not allow them to sell as new at there pricing.And as far a other saying hdmi is hdmi are fools.there are 4 revisions to hdmi cables so far.hdmi,hdmi 1.3a,hdmi 1.3b,hmdi 1.3c.If you are like me a home theater audiophile.you will need this cable.I have a denon dts-hd,dolby hd reciever.the cheap cables would allow sound encoded in hd but reciever sounded muted.wasnt very loud.then i put this cable in a wow what a difference.I tryed 3 other hdmi cables i had laying around same results.think about it..you spent 300-1000 for a good receiver,200-500 for a good blu-ray player but you wont spend 23 dollars to buy a hdmi monster cable?It is a monster cable,hence it will work perfectly with nice tight connections and extremely well built design.what others dont tell you is that the cheap cables can come apart and connections may be loose.SO WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THE CHANCE??don’t be fooled buy other reviewers a cheap cable is not as good I KNOW THIS FROM TRIAL AND ERRROR.however do not pay 100+ dollars for this cable that is just foolish.then yes you are getting ripped off.ANOTHER QUESTION I HAVE TO OTHERS OUT THERE.IF YOU HAVE A SAMSUNG TV AND WHEN YOU TURN IT ON THEN POWER UP YOUR DVR OR DVD BLU-RAY PLAYER AND SOUND DOESNT WORK UNTIL YOU RESTART YOUR TV IT IS NOT YOUR TV IT IS YOUR HDMI CABLE.LOOSE FITTING HDMI CABLE TO BACK OF TV CAUSES THIS.BUY THIS CABLE AND PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.

Its all about bandwidth people. Yes, the signal is digital, sending binary code. However, the AMOUNT of code that the wire is capable of sending is the issue. For HDTV or an Xbox 360, any cheap old wire can handle the signal. However, for Blu-Ray players and the Playstation 3, there is substantially more (3x cable, 2x Xbox) bandwidth, and cheaper cables can’t handle it. Some reviews have mentioned sound loss. Well thats because the cheap wire being used cant handle the HD audio transmitted. The same goes for the precise video signals. Data will be lost if the wire cant handle the bandwidth output from the transmitting device. Its really not rocket science.
