I have an Epson 6100 projector and I want to plug it into a UPS Surge bar, which one should I buy?

What is the minimum size that I need for a UPS Surge bar that will run the fan on the projector if my power goes out? I figure it is cheaper to buy a UPS bar then a new bulb for projector.

Bringing the Movie House Into Your Home With A Widescreen Television

Want to know what’s the best way to watch Star Wars, Transformers, and Harry Potter without going to Imax Theaters? In two words- widescreen television.

As what you might have noticed, TV sets are becoming thinner and wider.  They are not that very bulky as they used to be. They look more fashionable and trendy with screen displays that are so much better than the older versions.  These new sets of television fall under a category in what we call as widescreen television.

The term ‘wide screen’ refers to the way TV programs and DVD movies are now mostly being projected on a screen. When you play a movie on a DVD or Blu-ray disk player and watch it on a flat panel LCD or a plasma TV, you’ll notice that it is being shown on much wider displays.

More and more people are discovering the beauty and unique viewing experience of widescreen televisions.  They have now been otherwise called and known as home theater because of their size.  It’s like imitating what you see and hear when you’re watching movies in a theater.

If you are thinking about buying widescreen television, gather information as much as you can about the brands out there.  You would have to determine the pros and cons of each brand and take into consideration several factors such as delivery services, warranty and after sale services, before you part with your money.

Popular widescreen televisions include DLP and LCD projectors, plasma display panels, and LCD HDTVs (high definition TVs). Some of the highly recommended plasma and LCD HDTVs are: Pioneer’s PRO-111FD, Panasonic’s TC-PG10 series, and Sony’s KDL-XBR8 series. On the other hand, the most preferred DLP projectors include: the Gateway 205, the Dell 1100 MP, Infocus 7205, and Optoma HD72.

Widescreen television and viewing has really made an impact on how we want our viewing experience to be.  It has raised the standard and quality of television by leaps and bounds.  Having one at home will not only change the way you watch movies but also elevate your house’s image as well.

Yamaha’s new YHT-S400 soundbar system stuffs subwoofer into its receiver

Yamaha’s new YHT-S400 soundbar system stuffs subwoofer into its receiver
Pity the poor subwoofer, a vital component of any home theater system worth its salt, but usually a big black cube that you try to hide out of view as quickly as possible. So give Yamaha some credit for thinking outside of one box—and into another.
