Want to connect my Sony video camera to my Viewsonic video projector……?
I have a Sony video camera and would like to hook it up to my viewsonic video projector. The reason is that I would like to set this up is because I’m trying to record an event and at the same time show it on my projector screen. IS THIS POSSIBLE?
the right kind of video cables. maybe some rca? maybe they are digital. i need more info. anyway just find the color coded wires for the input on the projector and the output on the camera.
Yes, I do this for events that I video tape. You need to get an RCA composite video cable and connect it from the yellow video out connector on you camcorder and the other end to a video in on the projector. You then need to change the projector input source to the one that you connected the camcorder to. Get a long video cable from Car audio/video store. They carry longer and smaller diameter cables than the typical video store or electronics superstore.
Since you did not say which model of Sony camcorder you have I cannot look it up and tell you where the video out port is. Read your manual and it will tell you. If you do not have a manual then go to the Sony website and you can download the manual from there.
